Decorating dilemma

This was one of my favorite pieces at our old house. It is a T.V. amoire. However, at this house we don't have a television to put in it in the right room. We now keep our big screen in the living room and it is too large for this. Anyway... it is now in my dining room but I don't want to use it as a tv stand so what can I do with it? I have tried several things...none of which I have been happy with. So, it has just been standing against this wall all lonely. I am thinking about getting some fabric and lining the inside so you can't see what's in it. Therefore taking the chore out of deciding what to put in it. Do any of you have any ideas? What do you think about the fabric idea?

We have been making an attempt...

...at this. I think this is the shot of her saying "CHEESE" while on the potty. Not much progress yet but I don't really know how to go about it. We have just been sitting on the potty sometimes and wiping. I did buy some princess pull-ups yesterday and SHE LOVES THEM!!! I'll try to keep you posted on our progress. At least she likes sitting on the potty.

Miss FASHIONISTA! I bought this for her at Wal-Mart and she likes it A-LOT. Can you tell? What do you think about her "sock gloves?"

A thrifty find and a trash can!!!

Friday Allie and I went to Madison to do a little shopping and I found this mirror at Design World for like $25, which came out to be about 75 % off of the regular price. It has some imperfections but they are workable. I love it!!! And this picture is a trash can Amber gave me for Christmas but I thought it was just too pretty to be a trash can so this is was I did with it!!!

Playtime with the animals

Yesterday I noticed that Allie was lining up her animals and giving them little piles of oyster crackers. I thought it was cute so here's a pic...
After I pulled the camera out, she wanted to pose them for a picture too!

Ways to clean...

I'm am new to linking to parties and I don't want to take the time this morning to figure out how to do it so I am just going to share with you what I found at...thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com.

She is hosting a "So fresh, So clean" party for you to post your special cleaning ideas. So I am going to share a couple of mine with you...

It doesn't have to be Bounce dryer sheets, I use Downy (sp) sometimes. Anyway, I like to take these and place them everywhere to spread their fresh, clean smell. I have put them in toilet paper rolls, under beds, in furniture, in wall hangings etc. really anywhere you want to put them and it helps freshen up the room. P.S. I also sometimes place them in different areas of my car. :)
This is my favorite product for cleaning my granite counters. I clean them A LOT. But this product is a little pricey... nearly $5. You can use it numerous places but I stick to using it on the granite. Love this product...Actually it's the Orange Glo version of this that I use but it is basically the same. Great to clean leather furniture and bathroom counters. I think it is really for wood but it leaves most wood a little too greasy. Remember it's the Orange Glo version I like so much. Try it!!!

Fun and MawMaw and PawPaw's

New Year's Day we visited Buzz and Jennifer, ate some supper and let the kids play. They seemed to have fun with one exception...Emma got tired and was ready for "the company (us) to leave." William and Emma were spending the night and Matt, Allie and myself were "the company." :) Kids are too funny!!!

Still here...

Sorry for the break...I'm back although not much going on here lately...

Below are some belated Christmas pics...then I'll be caught up on that...
Just me, Heather and Aidan at the Marbut Christmas Party.
