BBQ Cook-Off

Allie seemed to enjoy the BBQ cook-off Saturday even if the rest of us thought it was a bust. Maybe we got there too early but me, Matt, Uncle Jim and Aunt Erica thought the event was lacking a little. (The BUCKIN BBQ Cook-Off or whatever it was called). Anyway, here's a few pics of the kiddos...

Here's Allie later that day collecting golf balls at the driving range...Cute!!

Nana & Granddaddy's

We had fun at a fish fry with my mom and dad, Meme and PawPaw and Aunt Shelly and Uncle Alex Friday night. Allie sucked ketchup off the fish and had fun eating ice-cream. But the funny part of the night was when Allie was bitten on the butt by aunts. I had to take her diaper off and let her run free and scratch for a while!!!

Dancing Queen

"She's a maniac, MANIAC on the floor---And she's dancing like she's never danced before!"
She wasn't really dancing but this headband reminds me of the song. For those of you who know Allie, you know she loves to dance!

Latest window creation...

Here's my latest window creation. I am pretty excited about it.

Day in the park

Allie and I had a fun "Girl's Day Out" today. We did some errands, got some lunch, went to Kids Dugout, got icecream and visited my old co-workers at Athens State University. It was fun and Allie had a blast at the park.
It was almost like a class reunion of sorts. Tona Holt and Melinda Carr were there with their kids. It was nice to see them. Tona had some little puppies that Allie loved.

What?

From time to time I buy the 100 Calorie pack snacks. I have found several I like but the the funniest one I found was this Little Debbie cake I bought yesterday. What's up with these things? Sure they are 100 calories because you only get a BITE. So why don't all us girls quit falling for the advertisements and just buy the regular snacks and just take a bite. We would, I believe, in turn get more for our money and show these brainy advertisers that we are not stupid afterall!

Outside Fun

I bought Allie some chalk at Wal-Mart yesterday so we went out last night and gave it a try. She drew on the driveway some but she really just liked putting it in her bucket and tasting it!!!!!

Kids Day in the Park

Al and I went down to Big Spring Park Saturday to enjoy the festivities associated with the Dogwood Festival. Allie had a big time playing on the playground, running around and trying her first bite of cotton candy. These pics are a little late but here they are...

Picture fun!!!

Although I didn't catch Allie bustin a move during the picture session today, I did get a few cute shots. Allie loves to dance. I was singing to her trying to get her to smile in the group cousin photos. We better hope the "booty dancing," doesn't last till the teen years ...

My new job...

Since I have decided to be a stay-at-home mom I have come up with numerous things to do to make some spending money. Among my title of "A-1 Housecleaner" (I clean three houses), I am now "Account Executive" for Visions of the Valley, a bi-monthly local publication. I am very excited about my new title. It makes me feel important again. Being a mom is the most important job I have but it sometimes makes me feel out of touch with things I use to enjoy so much. I wouldn't want to go back to work full-time. I am very thankful to be able to be home with my precious girl. But I am glad to be able to get a taste to the "work world" again, even if it's just a little. My boss compared the job to selling Avon, which made it sound a little less appealing, but what he meant was I can work when and how much I want...So that is great!!! I even have business cards! Woohoo! Anyway, I still plan to clean my three houses.

Allie loves to eat!

I let Allie dip some fries in ketchup yesterday. She loved it! She would dip the fry in ketchup and suck the ketchup off the fry. Hope I haven't started a habbit.

Me and Sis-N-Law

My sister-n-law Heather will probably kill me for posting this picture but oh well! We like to pose together at numerous family gatherings hoping to get a "luminous" photo of the two of us. For those of you who don't like to take pictures of yourself...GET OVER IT!!! Hopefully one day you will be wishing you looked the way you do now. Take plenty of pictures of yourself...your children will want to know what you looked like "Back in the Day," so suck it up and think like this...One day when your children are in their teens and people say "You look just like your mama." Maybe your child will say "Thanks!" (when they look at a picture of you now) instead of..."No I don't! Are you crazy?" (when they look at the future you)
Think about it:)

Little "Poo-poos" made a poo-poo

The scene of the crime...

Charged...

One-year-old Allie, a.k.a. "Poo-poos," of Athens, is charged with two counts (one count for each terd) of Pooping in the Shower. It went down Friday, April 10, 2009, at her home. Mommy was in the shower at the time and handled the mess without incident. Allie was arrested and taken to the Detention Facility for Pooping Toddlers where she was booked and released on bond.

All dressed up!

Here we are, all dressed up!

The Easter Bunny Came!!!

The Easter Bunny left Allie some good treats this year. She got some toy golf clubs, candy, bubbles and more.

Egg Hunting

This year was the first time Allie got to hunt Easter eggs. I didn't really think she would know what to do...but she did really well. Over the weekend we hunted eggs at cousins William and Emma and Aunt Helen's house. We will probably hunt eggs at MawMaw and PawPaws this evening too. Lots of fun. Allie was exhausted Sunday afternoon after hunting eggs at Helen's!!

Pictureless

Well, I still haven't replaced my camera. I hope to get a new one this week or next. Until then, the posts will have to be pictureless. It has been a rough week at the Lovell house. I have had two sick babies. Baby No. 1, Matthew Clay, Baby No. 2, Allie Clay. They both had the stomach bug and boy has it been a rough week for me. Between changing sheets and cleaning toilets, I am pooped (in an exhausted way, not the toilet way). But the funny thing is... when Matt gets sick, he always thinks he has been poisened. He never thinks it is just because there is a stomach bug going around. But finally they are feeling better... with the exception of eating. Maybe things will be 100% by Easter weekend. Lots of fun stuff planned.
