Trick-or-Treat

Allie actually went Trick-or-Treating this year and she really liked it. We only went to a few houses in the neighborhood and then to some of the family but still it was Trick-or-Treating.

Walking up to the door...

Let me in...

Birthday Breakfast

Since time was slipping by and MawMaw likes to cook for the boys' birthdays...we celebrated this year with a breakfast on Halloween morning in honor of Matt, Jim, Will and Jordan's birthdays. It was a busy start to the day but we had a lot of fun. We also used the time as our Trick or Treat at MawMaw and PawPaw's.

About as good as it is going to get when it comes to getting this rowdy bunch to pose for a picture!!!

Want some candy corn?

Taking Aidan for a ride. At least it's not a car...yet!

William is 2!!!

Well, like three weeks ago...but we celebrated last night and we had so much fun. It was a Monster Party... The food was yummy and the company was GREAT!!!

Opening the gift from us...Not exciting...just pajamas.

FINALLY!!!

I have been talking about the "Pumpkin Patch," for weeks now. So much so I have been getting on Matt and my mom's nerves. After a couple attempts of..."Lets plan to go," and getting rained out...Today we finally got to go and it was FAB!
My friend Kim and her daughter Brilee went with us. It was fun and tiring and we DEFINITELY want to go back!!!

Tacky Decor

I have been visiting a lot of blogs lately of people I don't know. A lot of them have some good ideas for Halloween and fall decorating, but some I just can't seem to imagine that I would enjoy looking at for a few days let alone a few weeks. I love crafty decor and creative thinkers but where's the line for what becomes tacky? When it comes to decorating for fall, halloween, Christmas etc. I love to spruce up my house...BUT... in what I like to think is a tasteful, muted way. Some of you may love the big, loud and gaudy and if you do that is GREAT! But me, I am a plain pumpkin kind of gal, no JACK-O-LATERNs for me please. Just felt the need to spill here. Love a lot of the ideas I have been seeing, although some are a bit overboard if you ask me. They are just not right for my taste. However, I am trying to add a little more spice here and there. Maybe I'll learn one day. Just not brave enough yet.

Fun times on Gill Crest

Well... it was back to the old homeplace Saturday afternoon for a lot of fun at the Holt House. I say homeplace because it is our old neighborhood. Allie and I went to Cole and Noah Holt's birthday party. We lived next door to them when we lived in the neighborhood. I sure do miss my friends over there. We are all around the same age with kids in the same age group...Lots of FUN!!! Anyway here are some pics from the party. As always, Allie had a BLAST!!!

Here's Noah and Allie. They are just a few months apart in age.

Noah and Allie. Didn't get too many pics of Cole.

Allie loved the Gator!

Again...the Gator!!!

I might have to watch this guy in a few years. He sure was willing to ride Allie around on the Gator today! Sure is a cutie!:)

I am exhausted!

Well, after being at Fiddler's for about 2 1/2 hours Fri-DAY we went back for about 3 hours Fri-NIGHT. I wore boots and that was a mistake...I am still hurtin' today. But it could also be from the long morning of yard sale searching mom, Allie and I did this morning. We got up early and headed to Forrest Hills and then stopped at a stray yard sale before catching breakfast at Applebee's. It was a pancake breakfast to support AHS baseball team. We bought some tickets from neighbors. It was yummy!
After that it was off to Vestavia. All in all we did pretty well...a couple of pieces of furniture and a "surprise buy," I will blog about soon. Allie is a yard sale DIVA!!! She seems to really like going, walking around, playing with the do-dads and she even ends up with freebies from time to time.

Ava and Allie couldn't help but to eat Grandmama's popcorn.

Here Allie has made a "buck dancin'" buddy.

The crowd seemed to really enjoy Allie bustin' a move.

Even this guy.

Here's Allie and cousin Aidan. Makes it sound country when you say "cousin Aidan," don't it?

Got to have Bankies.

"What am I going to do next?"

Squeazing in some MawMaw love.

Mom and Al.

Me and Matt.

Hittin' the yard sale trail Saturday morning.

This is how we all felt at the end of the day!!! Exhausted!
