I'm in LOOOOVE!!!

Blogging may be on the backburner for a while. I have started reading the Twilight Saga and I can't put it down, even having a hard time getting it off my mind. AND what's more interesting is that I am not much of a reader. So, this is surprising even to me :)I am already on the second book. Very exciting!

More furniture makeovers

Here's some furniture I have painted at my house. This bedroom suite has been done for a while but I am still working on the room. Amelia painted the design on the wall...

This piece I did today for my laundry room.

For real...

Whoever came up with this crazy stuff...Santa Claus (a big fat man who comes down your chimney in the middle of the night like some kind of weirdo or something), the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy etc.. All of which COME TO YOUR HOUSE WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING. Scary, if you ask me...So I don't blame children for being SCARED TO DEATH of these SILLY things.

I say all this getting to the point that today was Allie's first meeting with Santa Claus and NO SHE DID NOT LIKE HIM. But I wanted a picture so Allie and myself hopped in the BIG GUY's lap. I am anxious to get the picture and no I am not knocking believing in such stuff because I LOVE IT AS MUCH AS THE NEXT PERSON!!! But sometimes I have to wonder...Really? Where did such stuff come from? I am sure there is an explanation that I don't remember but whatever. FUN for us, NOT FUN for the babies, at least not mine...yet. Hope she warms up to him someday. At least for the fun in it for me!

We went to Brookhill today for Santa's Village and Marketplace and other than Santa and the scary Grinch...we had fun.

Am I nuts???

Today Allie and I got out of the house to do a little shopping and looking. We stopped at a store in Athens, to remain nameless, and there were two little girls in there playing. One I would guess is 3 and the other 4 or 5. Anyway, as usual Allie begins to try to play with them, giggling, laughing, chasing etc. Well the eldest child was mean to Allie. Can you believe that? I kept a close ear and sort of got onto the girl a couple of times. She apparently didn't want Allie near them or playing with merchandise even commenting once that Allie needed to be with her mommy. (I was standing nearby in the store.) Anyway, after they left I told the store owners, workers that I thought those little girls were mean to my little girl then I started crying!!!! What's wrong with me? I have to grow some thick skin I guess. The youngest girl wasn't mean, that I noticed, but the oldest acted like she was a grown woman with a problem. I mean, Allie didn't know she was being ugly but I sure did. And now that I know how it feels I don't want Allie to ever be cruel to anyone and if I see this type of behavior in the future...I hope I know better how to handle it:(

What a mess!!!

I let Allie play with my jewelry sometimes while I am getting ready to keep her occupied. Well this is what happens when you leave an ink pen in the jewelry box :(

Just a couple of pics of my pretty girl...

Allie's First Haircut

I took Allie to Aunt Shelly to get her first haircut Saturday. She was such a good girl. YAY! Allie!

Snip, snip, snip...

Finished product...

Give Aunt Shelly some money...

On another note...This is a pic of the ladies having a girls' night at Amber's. We had a lot of fun and learned how to make pretty hair bows for the girls. Thanks Amber!

Happy Birthday!

Well, today is Matt's 34th birthday. We celebrated with his requested supper of hamburger steak, sauteed onions and broccoli and cheese. We also had cake!

"At least I still have my teeth and can enjoy this yummy supper!" :)

Allie eating some cake it her hand-me-down DADDY t-shirt "MY DAD IS THE MAN!" Really?
